有誰會推掉上千萬美金的NBA合約，只為了多享受人生片刻的安寧？奧克拉荷馬州大的大二控球後衛史馬特，正用他的人生寫下傳奇故事。

今年6月NBA選秀，史馬特在選秀會開始前宣布重返校園，為選秀會投下震撼彈，他被認為幾乎篤定在前3順位中選，甚至能夠成為選秀狀元。

史馬特身高193公分，體重105公斤，他以純熟的半場進攻和組織著名，也是近年大學少見的重磅控球。他從小家境狀況不佳，和他感情最好的大哥死於癌症，媽媽也因故摘除一個腎臟。他9歲時，媽媽聖誕節問他想要什麼禮物，他回答：「我什麼都不要，只要我們家人永遠在一起。」史馬特說，他人生前18年在貧困和提心吊膽中度過，去年進入大學，他才知道什麼是心靈平靜。

奧克拉荷馬州大教練福特說：「史馬特是我看過最不可思議的孩子，環境造就他的沉穩性格，他合群而低調，上場可以不發一言，就讓對手知道誰是場上老大。」
