基隆市去年十大死亡原因，癌症排名是第一位，其中結腸、直腸和肛門癌是男性癌症死亡第三位，口腔癌是男性癌症死亡第六位。基隆市衛生局結合社區醫療院所，提供免費癌症篩檢，辦理「健康100-關愛爸爸」長長久久活動，藉此喚起忙碌的父親以及親屬別忽略了自己的健康，一定要定期接受口腔黏膜篩檢、大腸直腸癌篩檢。

活動時間自即日起至年底止，活動對象││十八歲以上吸菸民眾參加「二代戒菸門診」、三十歲以上吸菸或嚼(戒)檳民眾參加每二年一次「口腔黏膜檢查」、五十至七十四歲民眾參加每二年一次「糞便潛血反應檢查」；民眾持健保IC卡到本市各醫療院(所)接受任何一項篩檢服務，即贈溫馨小禮物一份。
