作者: 曹玉烱 為了要留下執教6年期間有著不錯成績的Joe Girardi，洋基總經理Brian Cashman準備在 週四(3日)與Girardi經紀人午餐時提供一紙更優渥的合約。 週二(1日)與Girardi會面後，Cashman重申他過去幾個月的立場─留下Girardi，而 Cashman也說雙方都有同樣想法，「我認為他喜歡這裡，我們會提供他真正好的理由留下 ，他這6年執教有成，值得我們這麼做。」 雖不清楚金額，但可以確定的是Cashman會提供一紙比之前300萬年薪更高的合約。 Girardi曾說他有意繼續在洋基執教，但不排除回去擔任球賽轉播、甚至其他球隊教頭的 工作，對此Cashman不願說他是否會讓Girardi與小熊球團接觸。小熊日前開除總教練 Dale Sveum，有意找來球員時期曾效力小熊的Girardi，不過Girardi與洋基的合約到10月 底才到期，因此這段期間想要與Girardi談得先經過洋基同意才行。 Cashman表示：「他還在合約內，而我們很希望能留下他。」Girardi也希望此事能在短期 內有較為明朗的發展。 最後針對2014年團隊薪資上限控制在1億8900萬美元的問題，Cashman指出：「我唯一可自 信告訴你們的是，當老闆還是Steinbrenner時，會為了打造一支最棒球隊而盡最大努力， 如果可以的話我們會朝這個目標(1億8900萬美元)邁進，但如果是為了冠軍這就不會是個 命令。」 Girardi從2008年至今，率領洋基打出972勝564敗、勝率5成8的戰績，期間4度打進季後賽 、2009年拿下隊史第27座世界大賽冠軍。 來源網址:http://www.tsna.com.tw/index.php?q=node/46046 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 36.230.91.200
