英國媒體報導，法國巧克力師傅馬思奎在亞洲旅行時得到昆蟲美食的靈感，日前推出巧克力上放昆蟲的新產品，1盒售價22歐元（約台幣875元），反應不錯，幾天就已賣出60盒。

馬思奎說，他到亞洲旅行時發現，亞洲人將昆蟲入菜的情況很普遍，也是當地文化的一部分，他心想何不將巧克力與昆蟲也合在一起。

馬思奎對昆蟲的選擇很講究，不能太硬也不能太軟，最後決定用蟋蟀和黃粉蟲，而為了讓巧克力上的昆蟲賣相好些，他特別灑上可食用的金粉。

馬思奎使用的昆蟲都是由土魯斯的1家公司人工培育，蟋蟀約需8周、黃粉蟲12周，這些昆蟲都被細心養育，飼料裡有豐富的維他命、礦物質及脂肪酸。
