高溫讓人難耐，對打火弟兄更是一大挑戰，執行救火、捕蜂或抓蛇任務仍得往前衝。彰化縣消防局購買新捕蜂衣，以不織布為材質，強調透風性強，又能防止遭虎頭蜂叮咬，保障消防弟兄安全。

消防局最近添購新的捕蜂衣，全套衣服、帽子、鞋子重6.5公斤，以不織布為材質，共3層強調透氣性強，共有68件，一件價值上萬元。

「真的很想把冷氣背在身上。」花壇消防分隊小隊長沈建福表示，天氣飆高溫，打火弟兄仍得頂著豔陽出任務，無論滅火或捕蜂及抓蛇，使命必達。但天氣熱再穿上厚重捕蜂衣，每次都落得滿身大汗。

花壇消防分隊長謝介成表示，捕蜂衣材質是不織布3層棉，具透氣，呈網狀，厚度1公分，蜂針刺不到人的身體，對同仁生命安全較有保障。
