用疊合，將sin x 和 cos x 的係數當成直角三角形的兩股，如圖
 檢視圖片 
提出斜邊長√13
f(x)=2sin x + 3cos x + 4
=√13(2/√13 sin x + 3/√13 cos x) + 4
=√13(cos φ sin x + sin φ cos x) + 4
=√13 sin (x+φ) + 4
當 sin (x+φ)=1 時有最大值 4+√13
