老貓突抽搐　廚房燒精光

【綜合報導】家中有寵物的可要注意了，英國施洛普郡(Shropshire)一戶人家，在睡夢中被濃煙嗆醒，驚覺家中失火立刻報警，雖然家裡裝有火災警報器，但卻正好沒電，所幸消防隊及時趕到，救出52歲的媽媽潔姬麥庫斯克(Jacky McCusker)，和32歲的兒子湯姆，不過引發火災的廚房被燒得面目全非。
 
媽媽表示失火原因，應該是當時睡在廚房火爐旁的寵物貓布巴，突然四肢抽搐，不小心打開火爐，燒到一旁的木板，引發廚房起火，先前這頭貓就因抽搐，打翻過醬料罐或是盤子。
 
雖然廚房預計要花上好幾千英鎊修補，但主人表示不會將12歲的老貓送走，不過倒是讓她記取教訓，要記得定期檢查家中警報器是否還有電。
