魁北克火車出軌大火 罹難者增至13人

驗屍官8日表示，加拿大載貨火車出軌導致原油爆炸起火，所造成的罹難人數已增至13人，目前仍有數十人下落不明。

加拿大一列運送原油的載貨火車6日出軌，載運的大批原油爆炸起火，重創魁北克省梅崗蒂克湖鎮(Lac-Megantic)，現場大火熊熊，有如煉獄。

驗屍官表示，繼先前已知的5人喪生之後，又確認了另有8人罹難，使得死者增至13人。

而警方則在聯合記者會上宣布，目前仍約有36人下落不明，預期罹難人數還可能進一步上升。

梅崗蒂克湖鎮鎮長華拉侯許(Colette Roy-Laroche)表示，先前被緊急撤離的1,500位居民，將可望在9日返回家園。

在此同時，環保官員則警告，火車出軌造成約10萬升原油溢出，並朝向聖勞倫斯河(Saint Lawrence River)流去。
