坦尚尼亞在中國人家中起出1.8公噸象牙

【李忠謙／綜合外電報導】英國廣播公司（BBC）報導，坦尚尼亞在居住在該國的一名中國人家中，發現7百多塊、總重1.8公噸的象牙，估計來自2百頭被獵捕的大象。

坦尚尼亞《衛報》昨刊登該國大象保護組織的文章，稱中國與坦尚尼亞經濟關係的升溫，導致該國大象偷獵狀況進一步惡化。大象保護組織也警告，坦尚尼亞每天大約有30頭大象遭非法獵殺，如果這種情形繼續發生，當地的大象將在2020年之前滅絕。
