美國一對夫婦公開呼籲，應該推廣「基督徒式家教」，鼓勵丈夫透過打妻子屁股，讓伴侶受教聽話。他們強調，這不是「掛羊頭賣狗肉」教人玩性虐待，也絕不是美化家庭暴力，但保守基督徒批評，「體罰式家教」根本就沒有教義基礎。

克林特(Clint)與雀兒喜(Chelsea)在《學著有家教》(Learning Domestic Discipline)網站上，分享了一份共54頁的「家教」指南，最受矚目的是主張身為「一家之主」的丈夫，應該要靠「打屁股」來懲戒妻子的不當行為。指南還列出用梳子、木湯匙甚至乒乓球拍等工具來打妻子屁股的優劣之處，並建議了各種打屁股姿勢。

他們還提醒，體罰應在雙方同意下進行，過程中丈夫不可帶有怒火，以免演變成家庭暴力。
