太陽能機飛聖路易 向先驅致敬

（法新社華盛頓3日電） 瑞士冒險家駕駛的太陽能動力飛機「太陽動力號」今天離開美國德州前往密蘇里州，抵達密州之後，「革命性」充氣停機棚將派上用場，替代在5月31日中西部龍捲風災中受損的機棚。

皮卡爾（Bertrand Piccard）駕駛的「太陽動力號」（Solar Impulse），於美中時間今天凌晨4時06分（台北時間3日下午5時06分）離開達拉斯─沃斯堡國際機場（Dallas-Fort Worth），預定明天清晨在一片漆黑中降落聖路易蘭伯特國際機場（Lambert-St. Louis International Airport）。

這是「太陽能動力號」5月從加州展開5段跨美航程，盼能展示再生能源技術潛力的第3段飛行。

籌辦單位說：「橫越美國期間停留聖路易（St. Louis），不僅非常重要，對於太陽能動力號來說也有象徵意義。」

聖路易被選為中西部的停留點，是為了對飛行先驅林白（Charles Lindbergh），以及他用以締造從紐約不間斷飛往巴黎創舉的「聖路易精神號」（Spirit of St. Louis）致敬。

德州到密蘇里州的航程，是皮卡爾迄今駕駛這架單座機飛過最遠的航程。

籌辦單位說，由於強烈風暴5月31日侵襲密州的聖路易，太陽能動力號原本要停靠的聖路易蘭伯特國際機場停機棚不堪使用，將以一個革命性的充氣停機棚替代。（譯者：中央社鄭詩韻）
