普利司通邀請賽 伍茲暫第3

儘管伍茲最後1洞（火石球場第9洞）打了「香蕉球」，小白球離譜歪到隔壁第10洞球道上，但他還是安全救Par；後9洞飆出31桿，在世界錦標賽系列的普利司通邀請賽首輪，以66桿（-4）並列第3，僅落後領先者美國好手湯普森2桿。

伍茲不是首次在該洞離譜擊球，2006年第2回合第2桿他拿9號鐵桿擊球，結果小白球打到車道後，彈跳起來擊中屋頂，但還是第5度贏得這場比賽冠軍。昨天賽後他笑說：「雖然球偏到第10洞，但我還是當它上球道！」
